From Foreword

I present to the readers the subsequent, publication on medical topics in the Bible, this time pertaining human anatomy. Such was the beginning of the Polish edition of the book printed in 2010. This edition in English language, apart of the verses quoted at the time, takes into account the new edition of the New World Translation of The Holy Scriptures of 2013 (WATCHTOWER AND TRACT SOCIETY OF NEW YORK, INC.). In my opinion, the contemporary language used in this translation is better comprehended by the readers.
(...) Working on human anatomy in the Bible, I have accepted the principle of presenting body organs discussed in the Bible together with discussion of their medical significance; it had to be decided whether biblical books should be quoted providing only abbreviations of books, numbers of chapters and verses or biblical quotations should be quoted in extenso. I have decided to employ the second approach. This allows the reader to visualize the context in which the anatomic organ is quoted. Moreover, when a given anatomic organ is mentioned on even hundred occasions, I have attempted to present the most typical or the most known verses. In my opinion this approach has enriched both the wide analysis of the problem but also has permitted to demonstrate beauty of the Bible, of which rev. Tomasz Jelonek said that it has not only drew much from the culture of Israel and the Near East but also it has exerted and it continues to exert an effect on culture of contemporary world.
