Preface
This short handbook for medical students is an aid for learning medical microbiology. It should be noted that the summarized information presented in this handbook does not cover all knowledge of medical microbiology, so the use of other books by students will be necessary. However, the authors believe that this handbook will help students to focus on the main problems dealing with the microbiological diagnosis of infectious diseases. This handbook is supplemented by a workshop for students, which is devoted to practical work for the students. In this second instructional part, students are asked to document all procedures, which they perform during their professional training.
